Billing & data FAQ

Every account starts with a 30-day full-access trial — no credit card required. Every feature is available during the trial; there is no feature-limited tier.

$15/month, or $144/year (that’s $12/month — two months free). Both plans are identical in features. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

What happens when my trial or subscription ends?

Section titled “What happens when my trial or subscription ends?”

Nothing is deleted — ever. Your journal becomes read-only: you can still see your full trade history and export it as CSV, but adding trades, live quotes, and performance charts need an active subscription. Subscribe later and you pick up exactly where you left off.

14-day no-questions refund on your first payment.

Yes, at any time: Trades → Export CSV downloads your complete journal. The export stays available even when your account is in read-only mode.

No. The app never connects to your broker. You record trades manually or import a CSV file you export from your broker yourself.

Yahoo Finance (delayed ~15 minutes) by default, or Finnhub real-time quotes if you add your own free Finnhub API key in Settings.

Do I need an IBD Leaderboard subscription?

Section titled “Do I need an IBD Leaderboard subscription?”

No — the journal, sizing, checklist, charts, and calendar work on their own. The Leaderboard cross-reference features work with data you import from your own subscription; the app never provides IBD’s content.

Is the market outlook IBD’s official call?

Section titled “Is the market outlook IBD’s official call?”

No. It’s the app’s algorithmic proxy computed from index price and volume data, and it’s labeled as computed everywhere it appears. It will not always agree with anyone’s official call.

What do the AI features do, and what do they see?

Section titled “What do the AI features do, and what do they see?”

Retrospective narration, mistake-pattern coaching, the practice-mode tutor, and CSV column mapping use AI to phrase results the app has already computed — the numbers come first, deterministically. Requests go through the site’s configured AI provider (or your own API key, if you’ve set one in Settings). If no AI key is configured, every one of these features degrades gracefully to the same facts as plain text.
